REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES
Our Kanuka Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the bushy Kunzea ericoides trees growing wild in the East Cape of New Zealand. The Maori people have traditionally used the Kanuka tree to assist with skin issues and help with joint and muscular pain and inflammation. Wild harvested from the East Cape of the North Island of New Zealand, where the varieties of Manuka and Kanuka are proven to have unusually powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Along with being highly effective at reducing unwanted bacterial, fungal, or viral activity, Kanuka Essential Oil helps with managing pain and inflammation, making it excellent for treating a myriad of skin issues.
It is also wonderfully supportive for the respiratory system when you have a cold or flu, especially when one is experiencing congestion. It is rapidly absorbed through the skin and nasal mucosa, so applying the oil topically and using it through steam inhalation is very effective. Because of its strong anti-inflammatory effect, Kanuka Essential Oil is good for chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia.
The fresh, herbaceous, sweet, earthy aroma of Kanuka Essential Oil is highly uplifting and energizing. Thanks to its calming effects, Kanuka Oil may also help with sleep support.
