The Murumuru tree is native to the Amazon region of Brazil. The fruit produces a rich butter which has long been used for skin care applications.

A powerful skin barrier repair agent and intense natural moisturiser which is often used to help restore elasticity to damaged and aging skin. As an excellent emollient it helps the skin to retain water by creating a protective film - ideal for eczema, psoriasis and sensitive skin without clogging your pores. Murumuru butter has a high lauric acid content, a fatty acid shown to penetrate the hair’s shaft. This allows for better moisture retention and sealing of the cuticle, resulting in softer, more hydrated hair. It can be used to restore sheen and softness while improving the flexibility to dry, brittle, damaged or frizzy hair.

It is very hard, but melts upon contact with skin.

Can be used in lip balms, moisturisers, body butters, creams, lotions, soap and hair products.
